Defatted soya grits are made by milling solvent-extracted, defatted soybean flakes to 10–16 mesh. Feed-grade specification: protein 50% min, fat 1% max, moisture 10% max, crude fibre 3.5% max, total ash 6.5% max and sand & silica 0.4% max, under HS code 1208.10.00. They are a high-protein ingredient for poultry, aquaculture and pet food, and a feedstock for textured soy protein. Grits are milled, not textured: TVP granules are textured (extruded), whereas defatted soya grits are not. Packed in 25 kg paper or PP bags (jumbo bags on request), 18–19 MT per 20ft and 25–26 MT per 40ft. For food-grade grits (moisture 9% max) see our food-grade soya grits page. India does not permit commercial cultivation of GM soybean, so Indian soy is non-GM by origin; a non-GMO test report can be supplied per shipment. All parameters are confirmed against the buyer specification sheet before order confirmation.
