Defatted soya flakes, also traded as white flakes, are the thin flakes left after hexane extraction of oil from conditioned, flaked soybeans. They are the intermediate raw material for further milling into soy flour and grits and are also used in animal feed. White flakes are defatted soya flakes: soybeans are cracked, dehulled, conditioned and flaked, then the oil is removed by solvent extraction. The pale flakes can be milled further into soy flour or grits, or used in feed.
Minimum order is 1 × 20ft FCL, which loads 14–17 MT in 25 kg bags. A 40ft container loads about 24 MT. Jumbo bags are available on request.

Shelf life is 12 months when stored sealed, cool and dry.
