Defatted soya grits are coarsely milled particles (10–16 mesh) of dehulled, solvent-extracted soybean, supplied toasted or untoasted. They are milled, not textured: TVP granules are textured (extruded) products that rehydrate to a chewy bite, whereas defatted soya grits are simply ground defatted soy with 50% min protein, 1% max fat and 3.5% max fibre. Typical uses are TVP feedstock, bakery, meat extenders and animal feed. TVP granules are textured (extruded) and rehydrate to a meat-like bite; defatted soya grits are milled, not textured. Grits are used as TVP feedstock, in bakery, meat extenders and feed, while TVP granules are used directly as a meat replacer.
Minimum order is 1 × 20ft FCL, which loads 18–19 MT in 25 kg bags. A 40ft container loads 25–26 MT. Jumbo bags are available on request.

Shelf life is 12 months when stored sealed, cool and dry.
