Indian Coffee Exporter to Germany — Green Beans & Soluble Coffee
Arabica Plantation and Robusta Cherry green coffee from Coorg, Chikmagalur and the Nilgiris, plus spray-dried, freeze-dried and agglomerated soluble coffee. Shipped CIF Hamburg and Bremerhaven with origin traceability documentation prepared for your EUDR due-diligence statement.
EU Compliance and German Import Notes
Coffee falls under the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR, Regulation (EU) 2023/1115). Your business files the due-diligence statement as the operator placing goods on the EU market; we supply the origin and traceability documentation behind it, including estate-level sourcing records per lot.
Note the Kaffeesteuer: German coffee duty is levied on roasted and soluble coffee, not on green beans, and becomes due when the coffee is roasted or removed from a tax warehouse. Importers taking green coffee for domestic roasting handle it at the roasting stage — confirm current rates and your tax warehouse position with your Hauptzollamt.
Each lot carries a NABL-accredited Certificate of Analysis covering ochratoxin A to Regulation (EU) 2023/915 limits, moisture (max 12%), screen size, ICO defect count and pesticide residues to EU MRLs. Organic lots ship with an Organic Transaction Certificate; NPOP is recognised as equivalent to EU Organic, so no recertification is required on arrival.

Germany Logistics, Ports and Order Sizes
We load at Mundra, JNPT and Chennai and ship CIF to Hamburg and Bremerhaven. Transit is typically 18–24 days, with weekly sailings on the major carriers.
Green coffee moves by full container — 1 × 20' FCL is approximately 18–19 MT in 60 kg jute bags, with GrainPro liners available as a moisture barrier. Instant coffee and private-label programmes start at 500 kg, packed in vacuum-sealed 25 kg cartons or 1 MT flexi-bags. We do not quote LCL. Other country desks: USA, Italy, Canada, Netherlands.
Why German Importers Source Indian Coffee
Hamburg is Europe’s coffee gateway and Germany is the largest coffee importer in the EU, roasting and re-exporting across the continent. That makes German buyers unusually specification-driven — screen size, defect count and ochratoxin A results matter as much as cup profile, because the material is often re-sold onward under someone else’s label.
Indian Robusta gives German roasters a consistent, low-acid blending base with strong crema, while Arabica Plantation AA and AAA suit single-origin and specialty programmes. Germany is also Europe’s largest organic market, and our NPOP-certified lots move into EU Organic without recertification — the Organic Transaction Certificate travels with each consignment.
We discharge at Hamburg and Bremerhaven, and because we sell direct from estate rather than through a trading house, there is no intermediary margin between the Coorg or Chikmagalur washing station and your warehouse.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you supply certified organic coffee for the German market?
Yes. Our organic lots are NPOP certified, which is recognised as equivalent to EU Organic, so no recertification is needed on arrival. An Organic Transaction Certificate travels with every consignment. Germany is Europe's largest organic market and this is our most requested specification for Hamburg.
How does the Kaffeesteuer affect a green coffee import?
German coffee duty applies to roasted and soluble coffee rather than green beans, and becomes due when the coffee is roasted or leaves a tax warehouse. Importers bringing in green coffee for domestic roasting handle it at that stage. Confirm current rates and your tax warehouse position with your Hauptzollamt.
What specification data do you provide per lot?
Screen size distribution, defect count against ICO standards, moisture (max 12%), ochratoxin A to Regulation (EU) 2023/915 limits and pesticide residues to EU MRLs, all on a NABL-accredited Certificate of Analysis. German buyers frequently re-sell onward, so the full data set travels with the lot.
Do you ship to Hamburg and Bremerhaven?
Both. We load at Mundra, JNPT and Chennai with weekly sailings on the major carriers, and typical transit is 18-24 days. Hamburg is our usual discharge given its coffee handling infrastructure.
What does EUDR mean for our purchase?
Coffee is in scope of the EU Deforestation Regulation. As the operator placing goods on the EU market you file the due-diligence statement; we supply the origin and traceability documentation behind it, including estate-level sourcing records for each lot.
