Indian Coffee Exporter to the Netherlands — Rotterdam Delivered
Robusta Cherry, Robusta Parchment and Arabica Plantation green coffee from Coorg, Chikmagalur and the Nilgiris, plus soluble coffee, shipped CIF Rotterdam and Amsterdam for Dutch roasters, traders and re-exporters. Origin traceability prepared for your EUDR due-diligence statement.
EUDR, Bonded Transit and Dutch Oversight
Much of the coffee landing at Rotterdam moves onward rather than staying in the Netherlands, so the paperwork has to survive re-sale. Coffee is in scope of the EU Deforestation Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2023/1115): the operator placing goods on the EU market files the due-diligence statement, and we supply the origin and traceability records behind it — estate-level sourcing per lot, in a form you can pass to your onward buyer.
For consignments entering bonded storage or moving under customs transit, our documentation set is issued to match the commercial invoice and packing list lot-for-lot, so a split container can be released in parts without re-testing. NVWA is the competent authority for food safety checks, and organic lots are verified through Skal Biocontrole.
Analysis per lot covers ochratoxin A against Regulation (EU) 2023/915 limits, moisture (max 12%), screen size, ICO defect count and pesticide residues to EU MRLs, on a NABL-accredited Certificate of Analysis. NPOP is recognised as equivalent to EU Organic, so organic lots need no recertification on arrival.

Netherlands Logistics, Ports and Order Sizes
We load at Mundra, JNPT and Chennai and ship CIF to Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Transit is typically 18–22 days, with weekly sailings on the major carriers.
Green coffee moves by full container — 1 × 20' FCL is approximately 18–19 MT in 60 kg jute bags, with GrainPro liners available as a moisture barrier. Instant coffee and private-label programmes start at 500 kg, packed in vacuum-sealed 25 kg cartons or 1 MT flexi-bags. We do not quote LCL.
Why Dutch Traders Source Indian Coffee
Rotterdam is the largest port in Europe and Amsterdam has been a coffee warehousing and trading centre for three centuries. Dutch buyers are therefore rarely the end user — they are positioning volume for onward sale into Germany, Scandinavia and beyond, which makes consistency and documentation quality matter more than a single cupping score.
Indian Robusta suits that role well: washed Robusta Parchment AA and AB and Robusta Cherry hold a stable, low-acid profile that blends predictably, and shade-grown hand-picked lots avoid the quality spread that makes commodity Robusta hard to re-sell on specification.
At 18-22 days from Mundra, JNPT or Chennai, Rotterdam is among our shortest transits to any priority market — useful when you are holding position and need replenishment timed rather than stockpiled.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can your documentation follow a split container to onward buyers?
Yes. Certificates of Analysis and origin documents are issued lot-for-lot and matched to the commercial invoice and packing list, so a consignment released in parts from bonded storage does not need re-testing before onward sale.
How do you support our EUDR due-diligence statement?
Coffee is in scope of the EU Deforestation Regulation. We supply estate-level origin and traceability records per lot in a form you can pass to your onward buyer, so the chain holds when the goods are re-sold within the EU.
Which grades do Dutch traders usually take?
Washed Robusta Parchment AA and AB and Robusta Cherry are the most requested, because they blend predictably and re-sell on specification. Arabica Plantation AA and AAA move for specialty programmes, and soluble coffee for private-label contracts.
Who checks the goods on arrival?
NVWA is the competent authority for food safety in the Netherlands, and organic consignments are verified through Skal Biocontrole. NPOP is recognised as equivalent to EU Organic, so no recertification is required.
How fast is the route and what are the order sizes?
Rotterdam is 18-22 days from Mundra, JNPT or Chennai, among our shortest transits. Green coffee ships by full container at approximately 18-19 MT per 20' FCL in 60 kg jute bags; soluble coffee and private label start at 500 kg. We do not quote LCL. Other country desks: USA, Italy, Germany, Canada.
